I'm tired [Dec. 17th, 2005|11:26 pm]

I'm sorry, did that sound like whining? It really wasn't meant to be - just a statement of fact.

Last night was the company party. It was very nice, and since we shipped the kids off to my sister's for the night, we didn't have to duck out an hour into it like we usually do. We actually stayed till midnight.

Yesterday during the day I cleaned on the house, tried to do some Christmas shopping (no luck), and took Middle Daughter to see the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I liked it very much, although they cut a great deal of dialogue from the book and I really missed it.

Today, I picked up the kids and visited some with no_hdaisy, who had foot surgery Thursday. Then it was back to the stores to try and find my dad's present - it took two stores, but I found it (Husband had already checked three places earlier this week). Then Husband and Middle Daughter went to see Harry Potter (he hadn't seen it yet) and The Boy and I made banana bread. He wanted to watch it bake, even when I told him it would take an hour. I convinced him to check in on it every 15 minutes instead of sitting in front of the oven the whole time.

I also ordered gifts for my mom and niece off of Amazon, because I am just having no luck in the stores this year. Usually, Christmas shopping is a breeze, but for some reason this year I'm coming up empty handed. I know what I want to get everyone; I just can't seem to find it. I think I'll just have to start browsing and see if anything strikes my fancy.
