Oldest Daughter flew back today. The Boy and I shared a cookie while Husband went with her to the gate. I taught him to play Rock, Paper, Scissors. He was charmed. He also cheated, but not to win. He loved when we both chose the same. The house seemed very empty when we got home.
Last night I made a roast with potatoes, carrots, onion and celery. Fresh green beans and a tomato salad. I've been home on vacation for a week, and it was only the second meal I cooked. Does that seem right to you?
Last weekend, we bought a coconut. The Boy was very excited about it. He wanted to drink the coconut milk out of the shell. But when we opened it up, it was rotten. How can you tell from the outside that a coconut is rotten on the inside? We bought another one today, but The Boy is wary.
I finally got the pictures arranged and the text added to my Thanksgiving and Renfest pages. It took me much longer than I thought it would. I also updated my index page, and added a new page to archive all the "seasonal" pages I used to have to delete to make room for new pics.
Oldest Daughter and I had a chick flick week. We watched To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, Hello Dolly, Dark Victory, and The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Husband rolled his eyes a lot.
For the last two hours, I've been listening to sirens. There was a four-car accident on the northbound lanes just a hundred yards or so up the road. Then there was a three-car accident on the southbound lanes at the same spot - probably because someone slowed down to rubberneck. Sigh.
