My awesome husband (who is made of awesome) drove all the way home from Clear Lake today with the air conditioner going full blast even though a cold front came through this morning just so the carton of Blue Bell Chocolate Almond Marshmallow ice cream he found at the grocery store by his office (which is, as near as I can tell, the only store in the entire Greater Houston Area that has it in stock) wouldn't melt before he got home.

Those of you who aren't familiar with Blue Bell, and therefore don't understand this level of dedication, need to move to a real state, so that you can partake of the Blue Bell and go forth changed forever.

When I was in Texas a few years ago for a photography workshop, I had some yummy Blue Bell. They served it to us saying the same thing. We HAD to have it because we have never tasted anything like it. I could have eaten ice cream all weekend!! Yummolicious!

Bragging.

That said, my FAVORITE cuisine in Michigan, comes from the lovely local 'dairy bars' that pop up everywhere in the summer. Delicious, homemade ice cream? Yes please!

But oh, bluebell.
