Just some randomness since I can't seem to have one coherent train of thought these days. |
And now I have to run get dressed because it's nearly 10:00 and I have to buy paint rollers. Wish me luck!
- All the tiling/plumbing/lighting work is done in the bathroom, so now I just have to do the cosmetic stuff. I mudded yesterday and plan to prime and paint today. With luck I'll also get all the stuff back in the cabinets, which will certainly improve the appearance of the rest of the house. If the stars are aligned correctly, I'll also get the new hardware up, and the whole thing will be done. I'm not holding my breath on that one, though, because I still have other errands to run today.
- Along the lines of the appearance of the rest of the house, I owe Husband big-time for getting the tent packed away yesterday. Last month we went camping and had to leave in a hurry. And ever since, the tent has been in a pile in the entry way. We've had so much rain that the ground has been too wet and squishy to take it outside and spread it out to fold it up. Somehow he managed to get it packed up all by himself in the house. And he put away all the other stuff that had accumulated in the entry way. It's so much nicer to come home and not have a big pile of stuff be the first thing you see.
- The Boy woke up sick again a few nights ago. We kept him home the next day, but he was fine. It is scarily reminiscent of last month's Bug From Hell which had a one-week incubation period. Which would make the rest of us violently ill Christmas Eve. Oh yay. I spend all day every day monitoring myself to see if I'm feeling sick.
- Despite being a plaguemonger, The Boy is very sweet. He was at my mom's house and was looking at all the presents under her tree. He asked her if she bought presents for everyone, and when she said yes, he looked worried and asked, "Does anyone get presents for you?" She assured him they did, but he shut himself in the back room and came back with something he had made for her and wrapped and put it under her tree. I have no idea how I ended up with such sweet kids (it certainly doesn't come from me) but it makes my heart melt.
