The Boy is sick. Not "Mommy, my tummy feels funny" sick, but raging-fever barking-like-a-seal breathing-sounds-like-a-jackhammer sick. A trip to the doctor yesterday confirmed it was a virus and reassured that his lungs were clear, so we don't have to pull out the nebulizer just yet.

His voice comes and goes - when I got him out of bed yesterday, he managed to croak out, "My voice is broken". Today, he can barely talk at all, which means when he wants something, he has to gesture patiently while I try to figure it out.

Hopefully this bug will run its course today and tomorrow The Boy will be his usual chatterboxing self.

Thanks...he seems a little more chipper today, even though his breathing sounds like a buzzsaw.

Poor Baby

I hope his voice gets "fixed". It is so difficult when the little ones are sick. Hope he gets better soon.

Re: Poor Baby

I hate when he's sick - I hate that feeling of not being able to fix it.

I'm sorry to hear that The Boy isn't feeling well.

Do you have a dry erase pen and pad or something along those line he can use to write on? Might make it a bit easier than signing. If not he can at least have fun drawing. :P

Get well soon The Boy.

I think it would have to be more drawing than writing, since he's only two. He draws a pretty good cockroach (don't ask) and a passable tractor. Thanks for the get well wishes.

better now?

Hope he's doing better now. We just started baby girl at day care, so we're fighting new illnesses every day. Boy in class seemed to infect the others with: Mommy and Daddy need to wrap everything in plastic because it's going to be messy. Thankfully she only had one day of that, but every morning I expect the worst when I get her out of bed.
