Today is my first day back at work, only I'm not back at work. Which is fitting, since technically I was back at work on Friday, now that I think about it. Not taking every day off during the week when you're taking a week off is very confusing.

In any case, I'm at home because Middle Daughter is sick. Sore throaty sick; hopefully not strep throaty sick. She is using the sick time to try and catch up with me and Husband on Buffy watching. A noble effort, but I don't think she'll make it since we're about 20 episodes ahead of her.

Of course, the downside is that I'm not getting nearly enough done because I'm getting sucked into watching, even though I've just watched these episodes within the last couple of months. Season five rocks. Glory? Best. Villain. Ever.

I did manage to get a garlic-studded brisket in the oven. I think I went a little overboard with the garlic studding part; yesterday I bought one of these and it is way too much fun!! Do you think it would be overkill if I made potato kugel and garlic bread to go with the brisket? It's not like we're inviting any vampires for dinner, Buffy marathon notwithstanding.

Maybe I will sweep the front porch. That would be productive, right?

Glory rocked! And yup, you probably didn't get much done. Buffy, Angel, Charmed, they all suck you in make you forget your supposed to be doing important stuff like cleaning.

Taking care of a ill child is work enough! Hope she's feeling better now.

There's no such thing as "too much garlic." And that little garlic peeler thingy looks cool!
