This morning a co-worker brought in a fried turkey. It was yum. You know you live in Texas when you have fried turkey for breakfast. And don't think it's odd.
I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. That's pretty good for me. I'm usually one of those people. The ones wandering around the store on Christmas Eve with one name left on the list and no clue what to get. Not this year, baby! Oh, rats. I just remembered another present I need to get. OK, maybe this year, too, but I still have two non-Christmas-Eve shopping days, so I might just make it.
This year I joined a Christmas card exchange going on at one of my boards. I haven't sent the cards out yet. I bought them the day I signed up for the exchange, but now I can't find them. I have managed not to lose the list of names and addresses. That will happen when I find the cards, sometime in mid-February. But I'm going to send them out anyway, dangit. I am not a slacker! Just disorganized!
Last week Husband and I watched The Girl Next Door. It was surprisingly sweet, and in some ways better than I expected, and in other ways just as awful as I expected, but overall enjoyable. Only, now I am obsessed with the lipstick Elisha Cuthbert wore in the diner scene. It’s sort of an orangey-red matte. I spent 45 minutes at the Clinique counter yesterday trying to find a similar shade. I have no clue why I have it stuck in my head that it would look even remotely good on me, since 1) we do not have the same coloring and 2) I don't wear bright lipstick. I think it was just the matteness of it that fascinated me.
My browser is now doing this funky thing where, if I have one browser open and open a new one, and then click on anything that tries to open a new window, all my browsers close down except the new window. Any ideas? It just started doing it a couple of weeks ago, and it is really starting to get on my nerves.
I realize this is not much of a post, given that I have gone five days without posting. Honest, I had no idea it had been that long. I think I have been posting in my head again. Too bad you missed it; it was really funny stuff.
