Whew [Dec. 12th, 2006|07:32 am]

What a wild night! And not in an I'd-better-friends-lock-girls-only-filter-this-post -don't-let-my-mom-see-it way. I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday, and she gave me stronger antibiotics and some cough medicine, since I only had about half a dose left of the old stuff.

So, I saved the cough medicine until right before I went to bed, thinking it would knock me out and I'd get a really good night's sleep, but instead it totally messed me up. As in, messed me up. I was wide awake like this: OO and picking at myself (a reaction I have to some drugs) and my heart was racing and every little sound was like thunder in my head. I poked poor Husband about a thousand times trying to get him to stop snoring because it was like a million angry bumble bees with buzzsaws (and yes, it's physically impossible for bumble bees carry buzzsaws, but then again it's supposedly physically impossible for them to fly in the fist place, so there) were hiding in my ears.

Sheesh. It did finally wear off at about 3:30 this morning, at which point I fell into a deep slumber that wasn't quite deep enough to keep me from having my usual I'm looking for where I'm supposed to be and can't find it dreams.

I am sooooo ready for a good night's sleep.

I feel for you....but can I just tell you that your posts are the only ones to which I consistently laugh out loud? :-) My husband's cousin sent me a hilarious email (and, although I hate forwarded emails, I loved it). It read:

Attention Friends! Aliens are coming to abduct all the beautiful, smart and clever people. You're safe, but I'm emailing to say goodbye.

...and I can totally see you writing something like that. *grin*

Feel better.

Re: Yikes!

Aw, thanks. It makes me feel better to know someone is laughing at my misery, lol. And I would so totally send that email.

Was it the one with Codeine?

Oh, I've had that before, and you must be allergic. Hell, I took it and woke up 4 days later with no memory of ever having a cold.

I am soooo hoping this antibiotic kicks in and does it's job. You've been sick for wayyyy too long.

Re: Was it the one with Codeine?

Yes, but normally codine is my friend. I think I might have overdosed myself.

Oh my goodness! I hate when that happens. That stuff makes my nose itch off and although the coughing stops, I get a boost of nervous energy which makes it impossible to sleep. I hope you're feeling well by now and sleeping better.

I get that sometimes too and I HATE it. Here's hoping you are finally getting some rest!
