The verdict is in

I'm returning the rug. Mostly because I just never did get to the point where I loved it, and partly because I balanced my checkbook and decided this was not the time to drop that kind of money. Especially on something I don't love.

Instead, I moved the rug from the entryway into the den. I love this rug. Husband likes this rug. I'd post a pic, but the color doesn't come out right on my camera. It's a rusty color, with greens and tans. The only downside is that it's much thinner than the old one (which was a very thick rug - I mean, if that rug were a milkshake, a straw would stand up in it).

Well, I guess the other only downside is that I love this rug, which means I loved having it be the first thing I saw when I came into the house. Which is silly, because I spend way more time in the den than I do in the entryway. Way.

Now I just need to move the rug under the dining room table into the entryway. Which means I won't have a rug under the dining room table, but that's OK because the only reason I have a rug under the dining room table is because I brought home two to try out for the entryway and loved them both so much I had to find someplace to put the second choice. And now that the former entryway rug is unable to finish its reign, the runner up gets to take over.

My life is full of rug drama.
