********************************

The holidays were very nice. I needed a break. I could use another one. My project just will not end. I say that even though the final phase is due to roll out this week. Because of course it's not the final final phase, because of course I still have about 30 open items that have to be addressed before we can call the thing done. There will be celebrating when it's done. Party at my house! Everyone's invited! I'm safe saying that, because this project will not end.

*********************************

It's the time of year when all the radio stations play Christmas music, which means it's the time of year when I complain about the Christmas music all the radio stations are playing. These are carols, people - no need or reason to rearrange them into something a third-rate Vegas lounge singer would be ashamed to sing. Thankfully, I'm now listening to Celtic Woman Christmas on PBS, or your eyes would be flattened with the force of my fierce rantiness.

*********************************

Speaking of television, my inner girly geek is brimming with happiness, because Chuck has been picked up for a full season. Which means nine more episodes of Geeky Chucky Goodness. Nine! As soon as the writer's strike is over, that is. It's OK - I'll wait.

*********************************

One thing I don't have to wait for is Waitress - because it's out on DVD tomorrow. Get it. Watch it. I love this movie. Not to oversell, but it's easily the best movie I saw this year. How good is it? Well, here's how good - I hate movies where people have affairs. Hate 'em. I have never, ever, in my entire movie watching history, seen any movie where the protagonists were involved in an affair that I didn't hate both of them and end up yelling at the screen, Hey! You! Grow up! Get over it! Until this one. Now, I'm not condoning affairs or nuthin', just saying that this movie actually made me sympathetic towards everyone in it. Made me wish the best for them, instead of wishing I could just knock their heads together. It didn't hurt that one of those heads belonged to Nathan Fillion. A word of caution, though: after you watch this movie, you will want pie. Best to have some on hand before you pop in the dvd.

********************************

Any ideas for evening snacks? I'm still not snacking after 9:00, but up until then anything is fair game. I just finished my jar of raspberry chipotle jelly (which I ate with cream cheese and crackers). I bought some white stilton with apricots, but it wasn't as exciting as I imagined. Then again, what is?

********************************

OK, bedtime for me. I have to be at work early tomorrow. Eeep! Wish me luck! And I just read on the cheese board that studies show people who eat stilton before going to bed have weird dreams. Sheesh. Like I needed any help in that department!

A-effing-men! (but I do have a she*daisy Christmas album that I love and it is just RIDICULOUS. So I am a total hypocrite.)

I see movies again and again with the affairs and I never get it, guess I am just way too into my husband... or monogamy... whatever. But thank you for the movie rec - I've been wondering about it - I'll put it on my queueueueu (lol) I saw 'Knocked Up' in lieu of 'Waitress' at the theater. I enjoyed it. Movies I like (for the curious, ya know) 'Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, The Prestige, The Others (old), Stranger than Fiction, Little Miss Sunshine (but it is a tad bit overrated) If you want a frothy, fun family film, go see 'Enchanted.' It is silly and funny and just fun to watch.

excuse my l-o-n-g comment. The wonderful weather makes me spry.

I am so glad someone besides me liked The Others. I thought it was really, really well done.

We saw Enchanted this past weekend and loved it. I want to see it again!

Oy! I had to tell you I had a dream about you. Your hair was like a brillo pad. And you kept saying, I cut my own hair! And I said, yes I can see that. And I said, what happened? Your hair always comes out so nice! Then you walked out of the building to your car, and we were supposed to drive together, so I tried to follow you out, but you walked so fast I lost you and all I found was this brillo pad wig. And I said, huh! It was a TM imposter! Go figure that one out. must have been a fever dream!

They started playing Christmas music on the radio after Halloween. I'm sick of it already!

No one is allowed to sing, hum or even think of the lyrics of any Christmas song, in my home, prior to December 1st. I don't care if it's the day after Thanksgiving, either!

I haven't seen waitress - but I've been meaning to. I generally don't like affair movies either, well, except that movie "Unfaithful." Good, gawd! Raw, crazy sex in a public bathroom with a filthy French dude? Please. Stop. Please, stop. Please, please, please... ;)

I think even Dec 1 is pushing it a bit. You need to see Waitress. No raw crazy sex, but some crazy pies!

Oh, NO! I missed Celtic Woman Christmas!?! I hope they have some reruns sometime before Christmas.

Thanks for the movie review. I've been wanting to see that myself.

Raspberry chiptole jelly? GET OUT! I've gotta get some!

Oh, by the way, I have weird dreams after eating sour cream.

Now this comment should make you feel like you are very "organized" in your thoughts because I am WAY out there today and I am sure I'm making no sense whatsoever. ;-P
