In which I don't say much, but at least it's a post [Feb. 28th, 2007|10:27 pm]

I am not yet sufficiently engruntled enough to post anything of substance. I am, however, heartened by the requests for an Oscar fashion review - in the unforgettable words of Sally Fields, You like me! You really like me!

And a fashion review will be forthcoming...after all, what better way to ungrump than making fun of people who are thinner, prettier, more popular, and richer than yourself? I just don't have the energy to track down the proper photos right now.

I will, however, share a picture with you. The Boy is back in full drawing mode. His latest passion is books, fueled by the purchase of his heart's desire - a stapler of his very own. One of the books he made tonight was called "Killer Creatures". (He likes drawing teeth.) So, without futher ado, I present to you a page from this masterpiece:

I love the way he draws sea creatures - hardly ever the boring horizontal-side-view I always drew as a child. His sea creatures are always graceful and playful, peeking from the edges of the page, or dancing like this whale, or sometimes he draws just their tails, as if they've swum off the page too quick for us to see. It's almost enough to make me not mind that there are approximately 50,000 sheets of paper strewn about the house at any given time.

I love The Boy illustrations also! 50,000 and you only post ONE?

I'm glad to see you posting something though, and have to admit I have been waiting OH SO PATIENTLY for the Oscar Red Carpet review.

Oh, and no recipe since November. That's just CRUEL.

*smooches* - I know you've been sick & busy. This is just my way of letting you know I've missed you.

I'm sure the fashion review will be well worth the wait.

I've gotta tell ya .. I'm very impressed with the boy's sea creature art! And those TEETH! Great job! (a picture far better than some skinny, well-dressed celebrity anyhow!)

Wow! His illustrations are awesome! I can't believe how creative and accurate they are. Amazing!

Btw, I don't mind waiting for my Oscar Fashion debriefing. I'll just hang out here and look at my watch and tap my fingernails on the desk.

Don't mind me! :O)

Hey, when visiting 'kitchen chatter" this morning, I saw something that the boy might enjoy helping you make, especially now that he has a stapler and all!
